Jan McCafferty studied BA Hons in Graphic Design and an MA in Illustration at Central England University, Birmingham, graduating in 1994. She worked for Usborne Publishing as a graphic designer for five years, before deciding to travel the world for six months. Her titles include the 'Fairythorn Tales' and the 'Oliver Moon' series. She has also illustrated 'The Enchanted Wood'.
